Traveling abroad needs preparation. It’s better to write down first the important things you need to bring. Keep in mind, just simplify your travel! And Travel light!

Below are some helpful travel tips.

Get enough rest. There’s what we called a “Farewell Party”, take note, it should be done for good, 1 or 2 days before the flight. Always keep your mind and body healthy to avoid problems.

Only packed important items. Don’t pack so many items in your baggage, which are less important. It will lead to travel discomfort because from time to time you need to check all of them. Much better if you only carry 1 baggage only.

Do not Delay! Be in the airport in time; know the things you need to do there. Avoid being late because the plane will not wait that long because it is beyond their responsibilities much more it’s no longer their fault. Read your departing schedule.

If you lose Your Ticket, Report it immediately. Lost air tickets cannot be replaced on the spot. You might have to pay for a second ticket, and go through channels to get your money refunded on the lost ticket. It is important to place your ticket in safety area in your bag, if you want to just hold it, be sure to check it and hold it with care.

Avoid accepting others baggage. You shouldn’t accept baggage from people that you really don’t know even they’re your friends or neighbors. It is possible that it has illegal content. Know every possibilities it may contain that will lead you into trouble.

Just wear simple clothes. Avoid making a rich look not to wear expensive looking shirts to avoid robbers from haunting you. Do not wear too much jewelry.

Upon arrival to other countries, be careful. Do not simply trust the people around you; remember you are in a new environment. If you travel in-group always follow rules and keep your eye alert.

Travel smooth and safe. Obey rules and be assertive enough. It’s easier to get sick when you’re in a new environment because you are adjusting and try adopting their food, water, and air. Traveling can bring you in contact with things that your body isn’t used to. Be sure to have strong stamina. Always check your health it’s your first investment and capital. Always wear jackets if you are in a very cold place, look for ideas to feel heat because too much cold is not good for you. Check also your schedules specially working schedules. Above all make your travel enjoyable and be ready to take the challenge waiting for you.

Today, many Filipinos grab every opportunity that leads to their chances in working abroad. However getting job there is quite impossible without the help of a recruiting agency. This agency serves as the umbrella of the people who desire to be part of the working force in other countries. Recruitment simply refers to the process of finding possible candidates for a job or function, usually it is undertaken by recruiters or by an employment agency. Philippines houses a number of recruiting agency, however not all of them are legal.

But how do you discern if the agency you choose will truly help you rather than take your money and run? Many Filipinos have become a victim of this illegal recruitment. Imagine the effort and the expenses you take into account but just resulted to nothing. See how this modus operandi ruins your future.

How to Avoid Illegal Recruitment

Do not apply at recruitment agencies not licensed by POEA.

Do not deal with licensed agencies without job orders.

Do not deal with any person who is not an authorized representative of a licensed agency.

Do not transact business outside the registered address of the agency. If recruitment is conducted in the province, check if the agency has a provincial recruitment authority

Do not pay more than the allowed placement fee. It should be equivalent to one-month salary, exclusive of documentation and processing costs.

Do not pay any placement fee unless you have a valid employment contract and an official receipt.

Do not be enticed by ads or brochures requiring you to reply to a Post Office (P.O.) Box, and to enclose payment for processing of papers.

Do not deal with training centers and travel agencies, which promise overseas employment.

Do not accept a tourist visa.

Do not deal with fixers.

These are just few important tips for those who wanted to have an oversea employment. Do not just simply trust, examine, study and even research the agency you choose. Most of them have websites, so try to visit their websites, know their profile and judge how credible they are. If you are a victim seek for legal assistance. Where to get legal assistance? You can go to Legal Assistance Division, POEA head office or any POEA Regional Office. Beware of Illegal recruiters!
